If you’ve ever found a painted rock outside, or seen a picture of one online, you’ve probably noticed a label on the rock as well.

A label is added to a rock after you paint it so that you can track every time that someone new finds it.

When someone finds your rock, they will take a picture of it and post it to Facebook, along with your personal label.

They will then re-hide your rock for someone else to find, and that person will take a picture of it to post online as well!

This way you can actually see all of the happiness that your spreading first hand, each time it touches someone new.

That’s what makes this hobby so great and worthwhile.

There is a link at the top of this page if you’d like to print your own labels, but there’s a few things you’ll have to do if you want to add them to your rocks and track them online.

Click below for a step to step guide on how to get started, and I’ll explain this plus everything else in more detail.
